Welcome to
Maria's News
Good evening on a very cold
evening in July. As I sit here by the fire on a 2 degrees
night, I am enjoying the novelty of snow falling. A novelty for a
city girl!
It has been a very busy year
so far. Recently I was honoured with the task of representing
Ireland by singing the Irish Anthem at the recent Ireland /
Australia rugby match at Telstra Dome in Melbourne. With an
audience of 41,000 and a television audience of millions, I was
very nervous but so proud. I had a wonderful evening and was joined
in the stadium by proud parents and my sister Karen.
At the moment I am taking a
break from my retreat program while school holidays take place. It
is giving me time to enjoy some down time with my dog
Jack!
Album no 6 is about to be
recorded and I am so excited at the prospect of sharing a bunch of
new songs with you all. I hope to have the album ready for release
before the end of this year so stay tuned!
Another wonderful tour to
Ireland is in the throws of being finalised with some great people
already signed up for the tour. This is a tour with a difference.
As a tour member you will be immersed in the culture of Ireland.
You will visit some wonderful destinations steeped in Celtic
history and you will experience the Irish hospitality and culture
